Are you looking into a reverse mortgage? Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Cleveland is a leader in Reverse Mortgage Counseling, and the only agency referred by AARP.

The NeighborWorks Reverse Mortgage Information Center (RMIC) is a national call center powered by NHS of Greater Cleveland that provides consumers information on the reverse mortgage program. This includes assistance for homeowners that have a reverse mortgage and are currently behind in property taxes or homeowners insurance, those seeking a certificate for Reverse Mortgage counseling, or callers interested in learning about other senior supportive counseling programs and services. All callers are provided a direct referral to a NeighborWorks network organization, or an additional HUD-approved loan counselor or counseling agency as needed.

Our staff will provide you detailed information about Reverse Mortgage products, how they may benefit your situation and be with you throughout the process. If you are interested in learning more about a Reverse Mortgage, here are your next steps;

  1. Call NHS of Greater Cleveland at (216) 458-HOME (4663).
  2. Set up an appointment with our licensed Reverse Mortgage counselor.
  3. Attend your counseling session (in person or by phone) to review all of your options and understand how a Reverse Mortgage will work for your individual situation.
  4. Once you have successfully completed counseling and met program criteria, your NHS of Greater Cleveland counselor will provide you with a HECM Certificate.
